After months of sweat, over 800 man hours of labor and countless of hours of practice with AHSA coaches and years before in numerous baseball leagues, the AHSA Commandos fielded a baseball team for very first time on its home field on March 22, 2010. The opponent was a worthy one in the Baton Rouge CHEF Patriots. Thought by many to be one of the best, if not the best team in the league, the Patriots handed the Commandos their first loss on their home field by a score of 14-4.
Of course everone would have liked to see a 'W,' the Commandos played well, threw strikes and showed some good offense.
